First UMD-SPH Conference on Big Data in Public Health

The First UMD-SPH Conference on Big Data in Public Health will take place on 02/28/2020 from 8AM to 5PM, at the Lecture Hall 1312 of University of Maryland School of Public Health Building (Directions).

The event will feature leading experts from different application areas of big data analytics, including:

  • social media
  • genomics and bioinformatics
  • health care, imaging and neuroscience

These experts from UMD, UMB, GW, JHU, Georgetown and Pitt will talk about their cutting edge research using big data and its connection with public health data science. The conference will emphasize how big data methodology and analytic tools can be applied to solve real world public health problems and transform population health and medicine.

It's free to attend and you can attend any portion of the day if you are unable to attend all sessions.

The Big Data Conference is organized and supported by the UMD School of Public Health’s Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Additional support comes from Biostatistics and Risk Assessment Center (BRAC).
