  • Neuroendocrine regulation of growth and metabolism
  • Cellular differentiation of the anterior pituitary gland during embryonic development
  • Study of global gene expression in the neuroendocrine system



Dr. Porter moved to the University of Maryland in 1997 as an Assistant Professor. After subsequent promotions to Associate Professor and Full Professor, he was appointed Chair of the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences in 2007.
