Title: "Ethnic-Racial Identity: Promoting Purpose and Power"

Speaker: Lisa Kiang (Wake Forest University) 

Abstract: Establishing a sense of identity is a fundamental task.  This talk will center the role of ethnic-racial identity in youth development--what it is and why we should care. Contextual nuances and the importance of fostering ethnic-racial identity through family, school, and peer socialization will be discussed, especially given the intricate links between identity and purpose and meaning in life.
